COVID 19 WINTER 2020 update

We want to give you an update on our COVID 19 response as people are wondering what it means for our Sunday mornings.  The best news is that it has not affected us much at all!  If you have not attended in person since the reopening of our on campus services, we encourage you to do so.  They have been amazing times!

Should I wear a cloth face covering?

According to the governor's website...You should wear face coverings when in public places, particularly when those locations are indoors or in other areas where physical distancing is not possible.

We have sought legal advice on this. Basically it seems that if a business or organization can keep 6' distancing masks are not required. On Sundays we are already operating with 6‘ social distancing.  Churches are exempt from the latest governor's executive order.

What does this mean?  We are free to continue to worship just as we have been! (approximately 33% of capacity)  Continuing, we still insist that if you are symptomatic or have been around someone with symptoms to attend the online service.  If you are in a high risk group, continue to watch online.  If you are going to attend, simply keep 6’ distance from other people not from your household. If you feel more comfortable with a mask, for health reasons or out of social consciousness, then please wear one.  Some of our hosting staff and all of our kids workers will be wearing masks.  Children are not required to wear masks, but we leave that choice up to the parents.

The details of what to experience on campus are in the following sections of this web page. Please keep scrolling for all of the information.

We are so glad every Sunday to gather together and worship!

Below are a few things to expect and keep in mind for every Sunday we are together.

  • Seating is first come, first seated. So come earlier than our start time at 10:30AM as we begin seating people at 10:15AM. We cannot guarantee a seat but will do our best to accommodate everyone. We ask that there is no gathering in the lobby or auditorium, before or after service.
  • Please wait to be seated by an usher. Once you are given your seat please don't try to move somewhere else
  • We have a section for our High Risk Individuals who need some extra social distancing. Please ask your usher if you would like to be seated there. Arrive early or on-time if you plan to sit there as we pull the section by 10:35AM if nobody is using it!
  • We have limited kids classes at this time that must be pre-registered from the link sent out (if you are new please email Nicole Martinez, our kids pastor HERE)
  • We have bottles of water available in marked areas of the church

This still looks and feels a little different for everyone but we are trying our best to maintain the heart of Newsong church that we all love. We are so excited that we still are able to see everyone and worship together every Sunday!

Below are our guidelines and expectations as we strive to keep everyone safe while

fulfilling our Biblical mandate to change lives that change the world.
