There is so much great information on this page. Please watch video below. We did want to give everyone an update on our COVID 19 response as people are wondering what it means for our Sunday mornings. The best news is that it will not affect us much at all! If you have not attended in person since the reopening of our on campus services, we encourage you to do so. They have been amazing times!
Please read on:
As of Wednesday June 24, the governor of NC has extended Phase 2 to July 17 with some modifications. Most notably the mandate of face masks in public places, and the shift of to whom citations would be issued. The citations will now be issued to the business or organization that fail to properly operate under the mandate.
Let’s look at the FAQ page from the NC Governor’s website:
Does this Order require North Carolinians to wear face coverings?
Yes. People are now required to wear face coverings in public spaces, whether inside or outside, where physical distancing of six feet is not possible.
When should I wear a cloth face covering?
You should wear face coverings when in public places, particularly when those locations are indoors or in other areas where physical distancing is not possible.
We have sought legal advice on this. Basically it seems that if a business or organization can keep 6' distancing masks are not required. On Sundays we are already operating with 6‘ social distancing.
What does this mean? We are free to continue to worship just as we have been! (approximately 33% of capacity) Continuing, we still insist that if you are symptomatic or have been around someone with symptoms to attend the online service. If you are in a high risk group, continue to watch online. If you are going to attend, simply keep 6’ distance from other people not from your household. If you feel more comfortable with a mask, for health reasons or out of social consciousness, then please wear one.
The details of what to experience on campus are in the following sections of this web page.
