STUDENTS (grades 6-12)

Students are a special part of Newsong. They are encouraged to know and grow in the love of God. Each student is given the freedom to have the most fun possible while being equipped and challenged to grow into their full potential.


OUR VISION

We believe the transforming power of Christ changes lives that change the world. Our desire is to see students have a thriving personal relationship with Jesus Christ that impacts their world. To carry this out, our strategy is to: 

  • CONNECT: teens have a place to belong here.
  • GROW: every student has an opportunity to be personally mentored.
  • ACTIVATE: we empower students to lead and minister in their gifting, here and now.


PARENTS

Click here to join our online parent's group to receive weekly communications about all the Student Ministry activities at Newsong. Once your request has been confirmed, you'll be able to access events, resources, see earlier notifications and messages, reply with your own questions, and even connect with other parents in the group. It's our goal to equip and encourage parents as well as the teens.

SUNDAYS
Students worship and serve together with our church family every Sunday morning. 


WEEKLY

We connect on Sunday nights thru fun, fellowship, worship, and Word. Dinner starts at 5:00pm and we finish about 6:30pm. Teens can expect games, icebreakers, student-led worship, a brief message, and small groups breakouts.  It is in the small groups that students can really get to know others, and talk about the blessings and challenges they face personally. 


MONTHLY
Most months we hold a special Sunday night that focuses on building relationships and hanging out, or we meet off site for special events.

HOW TO CONNECT

  • STUDENTS: Join our weekly gatherings in the Loft & follow us on social media. (Click the icons below to follow us)
  • PARENTS:  Join our online parent group for weekly communication and our calendar of events. 
  • VOLUNTEERS:  Be a Small Group Leader, a Coach (personal mentor for a teen), a Chaperone for special events, or a volunteer that helps with food prep, setup or cleanup during our weekly gatherings. 


We ask that all our students who participate in our events have a current, signed Medical & Liability Release Form on file. Once signed, the forms are good for all events for the calendar year.
